Do I need a referral from my doctor to see you?

This depends on your specific health insurance plan and your diagnosis. You can download a copy of my referral form to give to your doctor here.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes! We are in-network with BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, and UMR, Verity, and Gilsbar and have other pending applications. If we are not in-network with your insurance, we will provide a superbill (upon request) so that you may submit for reimbursement to your insurance provider.

 

Will my sessions be covered by my insurance?

Each insurance plan provides different coverage for nutrition therapy. We are happy to provide a script for you to use when calling your insurance company to verify coverage

I don't live in Louisiana, can I still see you?

I am licensed in the states of Louisiana and Arkansas and can see clients virtually with no limitations. If you live in one of the following states, we may be able to work together depending on your specific health concerns and whether or not you plan to use insurance: Arizona, California, Colorado, Michigan, New Jersey, Texas, and Virgina. If you do not see your state listed, it means that your state has strict licensure laws that would prevent us from working together until I obtain a license to practice there. Please reach out and let me know if this is the case and I can refer you to someone in your state.

How many sessions will I have with you?

The number of sessions depends on your health concerns and progress during our sessions. It's important to look at our work together as an ongoing relationship that may take some time to establish. We will come up with a plan together!

Do you update my treatment team?

Yes! We believe in a collaborative approach and will make every effort to contact and update every member of your treatment team throughout our work together.
